About CEU Builder:
Learn what CEU Builder does, who it's designed for, and how it fits into your continuing education program.
CEU Builder is a course development platform built for hospitality manufacturers. It walks you through every step of creating an accredited CEU course, from selecting a topic to generating a submission-ready slide deck and compliance package. The platform uses AI to draft outlines, learning objectives, quiz questions, and research summaries so you can produce courses in hours instead of weeks.
CEU Builder is designed for manufacturers in the hospitality, architecture, and design industries who need to produce IDCEC-accredited continuing education courses. That includes marketing teams, sales teams, product managers, technical writers, and A&D relations professionals. You do not need prior experience with course development or accreditation to use the platform.
No. CEU Builder helps you create the course content and compliance package. You can use the platform whether you are already an approved IDCEC provider or you are applying for the first time. If you need help with the provider application process, contact us and we can point you in the right direction.
CEU Builder currently supports IDCEC-accredited continuing education courses for interior designers. Multi-accreditation support for AIA, GBCI, NCARB, and other bodies is on our roadmap. All courses can be designated as Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) content where applicable.
Most users can go from topic selection to a submission-ready course package in 6 to 8 hours, depending on the complexity of the subject matter and how much source material they already have. That compares to the industry average of 8 to 12 months using old methods, or 3 to 6 months when working with an agency.

Accreditation & compliance
How CEU Builder handles IDCEC requirements, source verification, HSW content, and submission preparation.
No platform can guarantee approval because IDCEC reviewers make the final determination. What CEU Builder does is validate your course against every known IDCEC requirement before you submit: HSW content thresholds, source verification, learning objective alignment, assessment standards, duration compliance, and non-proprietary content checks. Courses built with CEU Builder are structured to meet all published requirements known by governing boards and accreditation councils.
HSW stands for Health, Safety, and Welfare. IDCEC requires that courses designated as HSW contain content that directly protects the health, safety, or welfare of building occupants. CEU Builder flags HSW-eligible content during the outline phase and validates that your course meets the required content thresholds before submission.
CEU Builder's research assistant checks every citation in your course against real, published sources. It flags fabricated references, broken URLs, proprietary content that could trigger rejection, and formatting errors. All sources must be non-proprietary, published, and verifiable per IDCEC guidelines.
IDCEC requires that accredited courses are non-proprietary, meaning the content must be educational and not promote specific products or brands. You can reference industry standards, testing data, and general product categories, but the course cannot function as a product pitch. CEU Builder's compliance checker flags content that may be considered proprietary by a reviewer.
CEU Builder exports presentation-ready PPTX slide decks with professional layouts and brand colors. The platform also generates the compliance documentation package needed for IDCEC submission, including course outlines, learning objectives, assessment questions, and bibliography in APA format.
